Bring your character, creature, deity, monster, or dark fantasy vision to life as an original Worlds Apart ink drawing.
My commission work is created in my signature black-and-white fantasy style, inspired by old-school tabletop art, dark mythology, heavy shadows, strange creatures, and hand-drawn detail. Each piece is made as a custom original drawing.
Commissions are best for:
- D&D characters
- Fantasy portraits
- Monsters and creatures
- Deities and mythic beings
- Dark fantasy concepts
- Personal characters
- Album, book, or game artwork by request
Commission Pricing
Small Custom Drawing / Sticker-Size Concept
Starting at $125
A smaller custom drawing, usually focused on one simple character, creature, symbol, object, or design.
Best for simpler ideas, small character designs, or sticker-sized artwork.
More detailed small drawings start at $175.
9×12 Original Ink Drawing
Starting at $750
A fully developed original ink drawing with more detail, stronger composition, and room for character, creature, or scene work.
This size is best for one highly detailed subject or a focused fantasy concept.
11×14 Original Ink Drawing
Starting at $1,100
A larger original drawing with more space for detail, atmosphere, background elements, additional design work, or a more dramatic composition.
This size is best for larger character pieces, monsters, gods, or more involved fantasy artwork.
11×17 Original Ink Drawing
Starting at $1,350
A large-format original ink drawing with room for the most detail, strongest composition, and more elaborate fantasy storytelling.
This size is best for major character pieces, deity artwork, creature scenes, book/album-style compositions, or highly detailed originals.
Additional Detail & Complexity
Base prices include one main subject and a personal-use commission license.
Additional costs may apply for:
- Extra characters or creatures
- Full backgrounds or environments
- Highly detailed armor, weapons, wings, jewelry, bones, scales, fur, or textures
- Complex poses
- Heavy revisions
- Rush requests
- Commercial use
Before starting, I’ll review your idea and give you a final quote based on size, detail, and usage.
Print Release Discount
I offer a discount if you allow me to sell prints of the finished artwork in the future.
This means you still get your custom commission, but I retain the right to reproduce and sell the artwork as prints, stickers, merchandise, or other Worlds Apart products later.
The artwork may still be based on your original idea, but I may adjust the final design to make sure it fits within the Worlds Apart collection.
Print Release Discount Options
- Small custom drawing: $25 off
- 9×12 commission: $100 off
- 11×14 commission: $150 off
- 11×17 commission: $200 off
This discount does not give the client ownership of the copyright or commercial rights. It simply allows Worlds Apart to reproduce and sell the artwork in the future.
Personal Use vs. Commercial Use
Standard commission pricing is for personal use only.
Personal use means you can:
- Display the original artwork
- Post it online with credit
- Use it as a personal character image
- Gift it to someone
- Use it for a personal D&D campaign or private project
Personal use does not include:
- Selling prints
- Making stickers or merchandise
- Using the artwork as a logo
- Using the artwork for a book, album, game, business, brand, or commercial project
- Reproducing the artwork for profit
Commercial use is available for an additional fee and must be discussed before the project begins.
Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your commission and begin the artwork.
The remaining 50% is due before final delivery, pickup, or shipping.
For larger commissions, payment plans may be available.
Timeline
Commission timelines vary depending on size, complexity, and my current workload.
Small drawings may be completed faster, while larger original pieces can take several weeks. I’ll give you a general timeline before we begin.
How to Request a Commission
To request a commission, please send:
- The size you’re interested in
- A description of your idea
- Any reference images, mood boards, or inspiration
- Whether the piece is for personal or commercial use
- Whether you are open to the Print Release Discount
- Any deadline you have in mind
Once I review your idea, I’ll send a quote and let you know if it’s a good fit.
Important Notes
I reserve the right to decline any commission that does not fit my style, schedule, or creative direction.
Unless commercial rights are purchased separately, I retain the copyright to all commissioned artwork.
Commissions are custom artwork and are priced based on time, detail, size, usage, and complexity.
